It’s spring cleaning time, and Homeland Neighborhood Management is helping by sponsoring a neighborhood garage sale on Saturday (April 6) in Deerfield. Get your items ready and make a few bucks on Saturday.
As the weather warms and we move into the growing season, please remember that the value of our neighborhood – and the individual properties – is reflected in the collective appearance of our homes, lots and yards.
If you haven’t started yet, it’s time to start mowing regularly and to trim your bushes and shrubs. You can carry limbs and other yard debris to the curb or street edge and call the Madison County Road Department at 601-855-5673 to request pickup.
If you are doing renovations to your property or home, remember that all changes to the outside of your home (painting, reconstruction, major repairs, etc.) require approve from the Deerfield POA Architectural Review Committee. Also, any fence construction or major landscaping changes (removal of trees, total renovation of your landscape plan) require ARC approval. Request forms can be downloaded from the Deerfield POA website.
Please refrain from damaging or removing any landscaping or trees in the common ground areas. Contact HLNM or the Board if you have a concern or questions about those areas.
Remember that all golf carts, ATVs, lawn mowers, bikes, trailers, garbage cans, wheelbarrows, ladders and other lawn equipment must be stored in an enclosed area, not visible from the street, the golf course or your neighbor’s yard.
