Welcome to Deerfield
Deerfield provides a safe and peaceful country life style away from the hustle and bustle of a big city, yet close to the conveniences of town. Located in southern Madison County, Mississippi, and built around the beautiful Deerfield Golf Club, Deerfield is 5 ½ miles east of the I-55 Gluckstadt exit, 22 miles north of downtown Jackson, and just minutes from the growing suburb of Madison. Deerfield was established in several phases beginning in 1979, and now offers something for everyone. Whether you are a first-time homebuyer, raising a family, or enjoying retirement, Deerfield has the house to meet your changing needs.
Madison County is known for its excellent public educational school system. School age children who reside in Deerfield attend either Madison Crossing Elementary, Germantown Middle, or Germantown High School.
Approximately 65 percent of the homes are located next to the fairways and ponds of the meticulously landscaped Deerfield Golf Club course. The 18-hole regulation course was designed by Byron Nelson and opened in 1980. The par-72 course rating is 74.3, with a slope rating of 133, and from the longest tees it features 6,898 yards of golf. Even if you are not a golfer, as a member of the Deerfield Property Owners Association homeowners have access to the Deerfield clubhouse, the restaurant, and the recently renovated 19th-hole bar, which features four big-screen TVs.
Deerfield is a close-knit community of 370 homes, all of which are members of the DPOA. The DPOA has an active volunteer board that promotes unity and fellowship by planning community events such as a Christmas Party. The DPOA board also manages common area improvement projects, and it helps enforce covenants that protect the property value for the good of all.
